Gabrielle (Gabby) is a doctoral candidate in Organization & Management at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University. She earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from the University of Tampa. Prior to graduate school, she worked professionally as a civil engineer in the Philadelphia area. Gabby's research, which has been presented at several international management conferences, aims to understand the effects of stigma and social hierarchy on workplace outcomes. Her current work focuses on the ways that adverse lifetime experiences, particularly those suffered by members of stigmatized social groups, can lead employees to develop unique assets and skills that add value to their organizations. Gabby has been asked to speak at Emory Executive Education programs, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights’ LGBTQ Business Forum, and the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities annual IMPACT conference in Washington, DC.
